Who else got cornered by 2019’s endless challenges all year long? And who else is hoping for a long chilling vacation (vacations) in 2020? Well, besides the fact that we all do, unfortunately, 2020 won’t spoil us with extra days off!

Hence, we’ve prepared a detailed calendar to help you make the most out of your annual leaves and know when to stretch your vacation length around the year!

Vacations in January

Vacations in January

This year’s Christmas, January 7, is going to land on a Tuesday. You can turn this into a bridge to enjoy two days before or after in a row by taking either the 5th and the 6th (Sunday and Monday) or the 8th and 9th (Wednesday and Thursday).

Seizing the opportunity by taking a five-day vacation out of your leave credit is a smart choice to recharge your battery and enjoy the new year celebrations. However, whether you are choosing to have two days off or more, enjoy the holiday to the last drop because there’s no relief until April.

Yes, February and March will pass without any official holidays so enjoy your January well.

Vacations in April

Vacations in April

With the cool breeze of Sham El Nesim on Monday, April 20, take advantage of the weekend before it by joining April 19 as a bridge for four days off.

Apparently, the Sinai Liberation holiday has the same issue of January 25; both happen to be a weekend.

Vacations in May

Labor Day occurs on the first of May which also lands on a Friday. 🙁

May, 24th marks the beginning of Eid al-Fitr and that’ll be a great opportunity to spend a decent vacation until May 30 since you can take May 27 and 28 as a bridge. You might not get this opportunity again for the rest of the year. Since it’s nine days in a row, enjoy it while you can!

Vacations in June

Vacations in June

June will be almost done with no vacations until the June 30 Revolution Day, which falls on a Tuesday. A smart recommendation is to get the best out of it by taking the 28th and the 29th (Sunday and Monday) as bridges and merging them with the weekend before them.

Vacations in July

In July, the 23 Revolution holiday lies on a Thursday, where you can merge the twenty-second for a combo weekend package and chill.

But it’s summertime and it’s okay to aim for more. With the 23rd off and the Adha vacation starting on the 30th, you can ask for a vacation from the 26th through the 29th and add them to the vacations season. This must be the best time for some overseas trip, if you are planning one!

Vacations in August

You can extend your Adha vacation by adding Tuesday, August 4, to Thursday, August 6, off for an over-extended vacation, but it’s a bit of a stretch.

Either way, you’ve got one more long weekend on August 20 for the Islamic New Year, to which you can add an extra day before the holiday or after the weekend. A quick four-day vacation before the end of summer? Not bad!

Vacations in September

September has nothing in store for us.

Vacations in October

October tries to tone down the stress and rush by the 6th of it which happens to be on a Tuesday, so for a long weekend take the seventh or the 8th (Wednesday and Thursday) as a bridge or take both.

The month will end with Prophet Muhammed’s birthday on Thursday, October 29. You can merge it with the day before which is a Wednesday, so enjoy this calm peaceful weekend while you can.

Vacations in November & December

Unfortunately, the year will bid us goodbye with no further holidays, only the weekends, and what’s left from your annual leaves.
